São Gonçalo do Amarante is a Brazilian municipality located in the Metropolitan Region of Natal, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the Northeast Region of Brazil. It spans a territorial area of approximately 249.800 km2. It is the fourth most populous municipality in the state, following Natal, Mossoró, and Parnamirim, with a population of 124,495 inhabitants in 2025.
