Kārakkād
Chavakkad, formerly Chowghat, is a municipality in Thrissur district of the Indian state of Kerala. Chavakkad is known for its beach and fishing. It lies on National Highway 66 and is located about 77 km (48 mi) north of the city of Kochi, 22 km (14 mi) northwest of Thrissur, and 23 km (14 mi) south of Ponnani.
