Kakkanad
Kakkanad is the administrative headquarters of Ernakulam district, administrative hub of Thrikkakara municipality and major industrial and residential area in Kochi, Kerala, located 7 km (4.3 mi) east of the city centre. The term is also used to refer to an area covering Thrikkakara municipality and the built-up areas in the western parts of the adjoining Kunnathunad grama panchayat.
