Barroso
Barroso is a Brazilian municipality located in the south of the state of Minas Gerais. Its population as of 2025 was 20,604 people living in an area of 82.07 km2 (31.69 sq mi). The elevation is 920 meters (3,020 ft). The city belongs to the mesoregion of Campo das Vertentes and to the microregion of Barbacena. An important regional center, Barbacena, is located 27 km (17 mi) to the east and is connected by MG-265.
