Areka is a city in southern Ethiopia. Located in some 300 kilo meters southwest of the capital, Addis Ababa. This city has a latitude and longitude of 7°04′N 37°41′E and an elevation of 1774 meters above sea level. It is the administrative center of Boloso Sore district.
